FAMILY SHOOT INFO PACK
When we meet, we’ll have a quick chat about what you want the vibe, the shots you love, anything you don’t want, and how your kids are with new people.
The whole thing is super relaxed. No stiff posing, or forced smiles. Just your family doing your thing, and me capturing it as it happens.
Kids run the show, basically!
A few simple bits make the shoot go so much smoother:
Snacks for kids (non-messy if possible)
Water / drinks
Wipes
Layers and a blanket if shooting outside
A favourite toy
Emergency bribery (you know your kid’s currency…)
If we’re shooting at your home:
A quick tidy of the rooms with the best natural light
Open curtains/blinds
Remove big messy clutter from the background
(Your home doesn’t need to be “Pinterest tidy”… just usable light and space.)
Keep it simple:
Neutrals + earthy colours (cream, beige, brown, olive, navy, muted pastels)
Chunky knits, textures, denim, cotton
Clothes you can actually move and play in
Soft, natural make-up
Avoid:Bright neon anything
Big logos or text
Busy patterns

Over-stressing the kids
Rushing out the door
Bringing people who aren't in the shoot
Turning up hungry/tired
Let the kids warm up to me naturally
Don’t force them to look at the camera
Games, running, cuddles, tickles - be yourselves
Have a backup outfit for messy ones!
A quiet 10 minutes before we start works wonders
Plan the shoot around feed/nap times. Shortly after a nap is often a great time
If your child has additional needs, sensory stuff, or routines, let me know — we work completely around them.
Send me a few photos beforehand so I can check light + space
Open every curtain/blind
Have some neutral bedding/throws to hand
Pets are always welcome
I’ll guide you on where to stand, sit, play — you don’t need to overthink it.
If the weather turns grim, we can reschedule easily. Some of the nicest shots come in overcast light, so don’t panic if it’s grey
Safety + Behaviour You are always in control - please prioritise your childrens happiness
You remain responsible for children at all times
I won’t ask kids to do anything unsafe or forced
If anyone needs a break, we take one
After the shoot Once the fun of the shoot is finished it’s over to me. Here’s exactly what happens:Within 1 week, I’ll send you an email which will have a link to the private online preview gallery and the password
You choose your favourites
Simple “heart your favourites” button
This is where you choose the images included in your package and decide if you want any extras. Once you’ve chosen your images, you’ll receive another private gallery link where you can download your chosen images in high resolution. You can also order additional prints and merchandise. The gallery stays live for
30 days .
